Waiting to Sail Abstract Seascape, 50x40cm, SOLD
I’ve always loved the sea and boats. Right now I live in a land-locked country and the only way I can enjoy beautiful seascapes is to paint them. This abstract seascape was inspired by Sydney – Hobart regata in Australia. I visited Hobart the day after the boats got in from Sydney, so all the sails were down. The boats looked peaceful, waiting patiently to be sailed again. I painted the water just as it was that day – very calm and blue with a mass of bright-coloured sailing boats adding to the harbour’s cheerfulness.
Materials: acrylic and modelling paste on canvas
